Gervonta Davis has surprisingly told former rival Ryan Garcia that he should retire from boxing.
Garcia achieved the best win of his career Saturday night by defeating Devin Haney.

The young American shocked the boxing world, defeating his rival three times and ultimately winning on points.
Garcia took control from the first bell, hurting Haney with a left hook in the opening round.
Haney boxed well over the next few sessions, but was knocked out again in the sixth session and suffered the first knockdown of his career in the seventh round.
The WBC super lightweight world champion never truly recovered from this point.
Sean O’Malley hints that if he wins two more fights, a boxing match with Ryan Garcia could be in the offing
Garcia received two more knockdowns in the 10th and 11th rounds, securing a victory that many did not expect.
However, he lost weight before the match, so even if he won, he would not be able to claim Haney’s belt.
Either way, the result was a big win for Garcia and set him up for bigger fights to come.
This was his second PPV appearance, having lost in his first major step up to Gervonta Davis last year.

Given his ongoing feud with Haney, Davis was overjoyed with Saturday’s result and was happy to see Haney lose.
But that didn’t stop him from firing a few shots in his arch-rival’s direction, as he was happy to see Garcia emerge victorious.
“It’s best for Ryan to retire now. He’s going to get hurt badly,” Davis wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
What is likely to provoke this is that Garcia and promoter Oscar De La Hoya discussed the possibility of a rematch with Tank in the post-fight press conference.
Of course, Davis will be confident that he can be on top again, so Garcia warns him that he might be better off retiring.
